Covered Banner at WWDC in Moscone West

On the second floor of Moscone West, there appears to be at least one banner that's shrouded in black cloth:

No one is allowed above the first floor of Moscone West until the keynote, so no closer shots could be taken.

Meanwhile, a photo "loot" they are giving away at WWDC primarily shows a T-shirt that reads Power to the programmers.

WWDC kicks off on Monday, June 11th at 10am Pacific. We will be providing live converage at MacRumorsLive. SMS and "spoiler free" coverage also available.

I am predicting the covered banner either shows the new GUI of Leopard or shows an ultraportable.

...so there's only one covered banner? Out of how many total?

It seems as if there should be more than one if this is an event announcing many top-secret things.

Not so much. Standard procedure. It could be a giant banner stating "OSX 10.4. - it's old news", and they'd still cover and station guards around it.

Maybe it's a photo of a beautiful new iMAC design I've been waiting for. Ehh, probably not.

I can still hope, though.

New iPod or iMac

It is either the new touch screen 6th generation iPod or the all new iMac.

Um...the "D" in "WWDC" stands for Developers. Unless the iMac becomes a professional offering you won't see it tomorrow. Unless Apple announces SDK or mentions developer opportunities for iPhone (or iPod) you won't see it tomorrow.

Mid-late July = new iMacs
early September = iPod refresh

I really do not think they are going to announce any new hardware. I think it is going to be strictly Mac OS X Leopard and maybe .Mac

And MAYBE, hopefully new Cinema Displays with built-in iSight and prices that are able the compete with Dell.

They fired Roz Ho? Putting her on stage was like bashing Microsoft real good. Hope the new guy is better, I wouldn't mind Ballmer, at least he's funny.
