(first) web site

I am 16 and am thinking about doing some web-design during my spare time in the upcoming summer holidays. I would like to create a site for my band. This will hopefully be my first complete website - I have tried to do one many times before but just got bored/stuck and given up halfway through. Does anyone have any ideas where I can start? I definitely want to avoid iWeb, as I have seen the results it produces, especially for music orientated sites (don't know about you but that grey quicktime player doesn't look all that attractive). I have used Flash many times before, and have had the new Flash CS3 sitting in my dock untouched, for over a month, and would like to incorporate some into my website. I don't really like Dreamweaver, but I will manage. Finally, below are a few sites that I think have some nice ideas, will a combination of the apps in Design Premium CS3 be able to create similar effects?

- Angels and Airwaves
- D12
- Nike

Also, I would really love a cover flow like thing to showcase photos.

I have also been thinking about starting an online buisness to get some money for university. I know this probably doesn't belong in the web-design forum, but while I'm here, does anyone have any ideas for an e-business?

If you are new to web design and building I think you should try a static site first. The links you provided are nice looking but rather complex. Also if you want more help make a mock up of what is in your head and just get it down on paper and post it here so we can see and maybe give you some suggestions.

for every website I design, firstly I pencil down ideas. Work out how you want it to look and feel, and how you want to encorporate the content.

For whatever you need to do, search for tutorials, there are loads out there...
