I just got a new powerbook and will be selling my powermac. I want to reformat the drive so the person i sell it to can start fresh. Whats the easiest way to erase everything and whatnot.
thanks

if you have important data make sure you zero the drive. that will ensure they wont get anything.

thats what im looking to do.. how do i do this?

open up disk utility, select your hard drive, select erase, click the options button and check mark zero data. it will take a while but you wil only need to do it once.
