Question regarding iWeb and .mac
Hey everyone, just a quick question that I couldn't find a clear answer to in the in-built help. I'd try this myself, but can't since my .mac trial ran out a while back, and I'd like to find out how this would work before I sign up permanently.
I want to create a simple page in iWeb to publish to .mac with a bunch of text hyperlinks that allow visitors to just click on it to download a zipped file. I'm a bit confused as to how to do this... If I create a hyperlink and go into the Inspector to link it to a file, if I select a file that's stored locally on my hard drive, will this automatically upload it into my iDisk? Or do I need to put the file onto the iDisk using Finder first, then tell the Inspector to find the file in my iDisk? Thanks in advance for the help |

Just put the files into your iDisk manually and then link to them there. I'm not sure if iWeb will automatically upload them for you. Remember to put them into a publicly accessible part of your iDisk too.

In terms of it being a publicly accessible part, does that mean I need to keep the files in the Public folder, or just anywhere that's not password protected? |

The Public folder would probably be fine. I imagine the Web folder would be fine too. Yeah, any folder that's not password protected should be fine.
