Weirdness. Why there of all places? Especially with all the Canadians complaining about a store up north. I wonder if its a true Apple Store or something else.

Also, I would have expected it to be in Cape Town, not Jo-burg.

I don't mind, but it's reliability is uncertain...

I want one in Australia first though

Does seem a little unlikely. Why South Africa. Sure, there is a good center of money there, and I suppose it might be seen as an untapped market, but I would expect this only in conjunction with other opening internationaly, not as a stand alone thing.

If true, which I doubt, it would be contrary to Apple's press release that the Tokyo store will be its first Apple store outside the US. A store in South Africa would be great, but I think one in Paris or London is more likely before that happens.

Come on Apple...put one in Iowa before you put one in South Africa! (If anybody from Apple is listening...get a clue)

Maybe it's just a apple machines reseller and not an actual apple store. Wouldn't Apple have a announcement apple that store? Like the Tokyo store?

I think they need atleast one store in each state, or atleast the majority of cultural metropolis(es?) and population boom-centers before expanding into, South Africa? I would like to see them overseas and in Asia, but South Africa? Nothing against the country but wouldn't Apple stores in places like Toronto and Ontario maker more sense?

I think that if Apple were to open an Apple Store in South Africa then we would know. Apple would have it on their site. Maybe its a reseller.

Its just a reseller, only relation to a Apple store is that it sells apple products!

Why is it so hard to beleive there's a new store in JHB?

Apple are busy making their presence felt here in a big way - and about time too.

There are definately more stores/resellers in Cape Town, but since JHB is 5 times the size it makes sense to have more in JHB, especially since that is there all the money is.

Besides we need more Apple stores than any of the other places mentioned (Iowa, Japan, Paris, etc)
