iPhone Purchasers: Oklahoma City, OK

That's where I'll be when the store opens up at 10am.

I haven't decided. I probably won't be buying that day regardless, but I would like to play with one in person. I usually hit Classen Grille for breakfast on Saturdays. So I'll probably swing by Saturday morning after my migas and coffee.

It's nice to see other Okies here on MacRumors!!! Probably won't be going to OKC, I am opting for a local corporate ATT store because I am having my current number ported. Keep us posted on the chaos that is sure to ensue at Penn Square!

I will be at the ATT store at Penn, from what I was told, they are closing the ATT store at 4:30 and opening at 6, first come first serve.

Awesome!
Let's all of us who are buying on the 29th try to find out as soon as possible whether the Penn Applestore or the ATT store there will have more iPhones. We should probably split ourselves up to make sure we all have the best line positions. If the 3 million number is true, and 2000 retail locations roughly in the U.S., that comes out to 1500 iPhones per store! In a more likely event, if they were to save 1 million for stores and 2 million to push out to other retail channels/online sales, that's still 500 iPhones per store! If 3 million is a lie, divide by 3 that's still 150 iPhones per store. Seeing as the iPhone is more expensive and complicated of a purchase than a Nintendo Wii and that kids/teens (those under 18) are pretty much out, I don't think competition will be all that fierce, at least on launch day - but I believe in launch day camping (the Wii as an example) since that's really one of the few days where you know the store will have it.

Those who are going to Penn on the 29th PM me and maybe we could meet up.

Camping out for a phone? C'mon isn't there anything better to do with your time? You'll get one, relax. I'm sure Apple will make as many as are needed and be happy to jack the price to max people will pay. It's a cool device and all, but c'mon.. is browsing the web and talking and watching movies on your phone all that? Are you going to squirrel yourselves away in the corner of your local coffee pub watching movies on your 2 inch screen instead of on your TV? How long until the novelty wears off. Is it worth camping out just to say "Hey look I've got an iPhone before anyone I'm the hippest!"

Half the fun of a new product launch is the adrenaline rush you get camping for a product, ready to take another human life in order to get the latest silicon. And yeah, I want my f***ing iPhone on the 29th, it's been long enough already.
