Yeah, I just noticed this too. The Apple Knowledge Base listing what's changed doesn't seem to be up yet though. And it doesn't look like a very compelling software upgrade.

The best thing about not being around my Mac during the day is the ability to let everyone else play guinea pig on software updates

It will be interesting to see what changes will happen. Maybe the computer will run faster after this update.

I have a torrent running which I do not want to interrupt, so it will probably have to wait a few days for me

downloading right now. Powerbook G4. 22MB in size. Mmm, my resolution is acting funny...
as if the size of the background doesn't fit onto the screen. Can move it around. weird. Fixed. Zoooom. arrgh Ok, I'm an idiot. Shoot me. That'll teach me to install an upgrade when I was actually planning on going to bed. But who can resist an update?! Last edited by oblomow; Jun 21, 2007 at 02:44 AM. |

venturing in the new realm of double digit updates... feels kinda weird
but i hope this means that maybe they will support Tiger a bit after leopard is out, since its such a widely used OS

Just installed here and after 2 restarts all is well!
Hmmmmmm........ seems I recall a lot of hype here about a 10.4.10! Like in there would never be one--))))

My guess is that its main purpose is future compatibility (like Universal apps only work with the 10.3.9 and up, Core animation apps may only start up with 10.4.10 and upwards or something like that)

It'll probably go all the way to 11 [/bad joke] just before Leopard is released.

Mac OS 8.6 is still supported (a 10 year old OS), I think Tiger is gonna be around for a while.
