Internet Not Working

Hey Everybody,

I'm having some trouble with my internet. My iBook can find the wireless network, and Firefox works, but all other programs cannot connect to the web. I downloaded 10.4.10 using firefox and installed it manually, but it didn't help. Any suggestions?
 
Is this on a home network? Do you need any specific proxy settings? Do you already have any customised proxy settings installed form using a commercial wireless network? If so, create a new Location in the Network pane of System Preferences and reconfigure your network. It should then leave you with the default set of proxies. 🙂
