Antivirus, now you can get them on your mac!

Thanks to Parallels and Bootcamp now you can get a virus on your mac. What is the best antivirus software out there? i dont mind paying for it. Norton is terrible now, Macafee is not much better and i have not tried anything else. Any recommendations?

I'll be the first to say: Mac OS X does not get viruses. But as for your Windows partition I just say erase it 😛

The Mac virus scanners scan for Windows viruses that do not effect OSX, incase you want to send files to an unprotected PC.

For Windows I recommend AVG Free and Ad-aware (free)...

Just get Avast or AVG for the PC side and use Firefox or Safari as your Windows browser. The OSX side don't need nothin'.😛

As a possible downside to gaining market share, the Mac may start to attract more attention from the virus-writers:
