Should I get the new 867 g4 now, or should I wait to see if there's an upgrade in Paris or UK? Or, if the g5 is comin soon (didn't get an exact message from the g5 sting), should I wait for that?

buy the 867 mhz,we want see a g5 another year and half..

I agree... we wont see the G5 for a while. I could see Apple releasing a 1Ghz G4 in the near future... but as an addition to the quicksilver line up. I got a 867 about 2 weeks ago. I love it. Fastest Mac I have ever worked with. If you do get it... buy some 3rd party RAM for it. I got an extra GB. Very fast. I can run VPC and Unreal at the same time like I was running IE and Word!

Just so you know, there ARE divx encoders/players available on the net. I already have seen a couple on Hotline.

no,divx 3.x/4.x encoders doesnt exist,there are 3ivx,opendivx and other crappy stuff...
i know there is a divx player but it plays divx crappy,you cant really watch 640*480 movie
