$1100 shipped --

2.0 core duo macbook, 2gb ram, 160gb harddrive, superdrive, applecare until 06/09.. no dead pixels, good physical condition.

Was that a reasonable price for this macbook? I already bought it-- didn't want to spend over $1000 but couldn't find anything like that with the specs I had in mind.

It's for my sister who's going on to college -- I figure a core duo machine is good enough for what she has to do. She's going to be using it for music, pictures, internet, papers, etc. Typical student stuff. The harddrive size and applecare were big motivations. The superdrive was a bonus.

It might have some faint staining/wear on the palmrest and trackpad -- can that be replaced under applecare?

thanks!

Thats not too bad at all. Given the RAM, HD and AppleCare. Thats a real "Peace of Mind" machine with no need to upgrade. I'm sure she'll love it.
