1. Waste of money
2. Not worth 500 and 600 that also with contract!
3. Contract with Cingular/AT&T, few minutes and a huge bill!
4. Slow network...the internet is going to suck with so many buyers surfing porno on their iPhone in the bathrooms to hide from their wifes!
5. Blah..Blah...

No, I am not a fox and the grapes are pretty sweet!

A geographical oddity
Haven't we seen a lot of these threads? Although I suppose if you look at this as a thread encouraging to make those of us who can't get one feel better instead of just complaining. So, I'll play.

My wife won't let me. Yet.

I just want to know the down side of the iPhone, there is such a big hype that I would like to know what I am missing and rather, what I'm not missing!

I want one so bad, but I have OS X 10.3.9. Apple says I have to have 10.4 for the iphone. I have money set aside for a new mac, when 10.5 roles out, hopefully in October:D . I don't want to shell out another $129. just to use 10.4 for a few months.:( Plus I work Fridfay night.

Better than my treo and blackberry and I have low self-esteem and can't deal with having something better.

I've loved the Cingular/AT&T network ever since I got it 1.5 years ago. I'm still skeptical about the EDGE network, even though I have read posts about the network starting to speed up this last day or so.

I've wanted one of these ever since it was announced in January, but considering I just started a new job & want to save up some money, I'm going to hold off for a little while. It's also not a bad idea to let them work out the inevitable kinks out.

- no email distribution lists from Address Book groups
- syncs events entered directly onto the iPhone into only one iCal calendar back on my computer

I know these seem like very minor complaints, but these are problems I've had with my Treo for the last year that I didn't even dream would be a problem on the iPhone. Up until the reviews came out on Tuesday that revealed these limitations I was all set to buy. Now that I have to spend $600 (plus a $200 ETF) I'm not sure if it's worth it if I'm going to have the same silly problems that I've had with my Treo.

I'm also little worried about scrolling through my contacts to dial a number. I have 1000+ contacts and I love being able to type "A-W" into my Treo if I'm looking for "Adam Winner." Takes less than a second. It seems like a longer process on the iPhone.

- I don't like all digital things, especially the keyboard
- 500 for only 4gb is insanity
- I haven't even touched it yet
- Network is likely to be slow
- I'd have to change/leave my number behind
- I won't be able to play Mario 1-3 like I do on my Moto Q
- I hate being around annoying fanboys, especially in this case
- 450 minutes a month for $60? TMobile or someone has 2000 minutes for $50/mo!!
- I already have a cellphone that I don't pay for

1. price is beyond my budget
2. really do not like the lengthy contract.
3. strong feeling that next gen of iPod would be out in 6 months and would be exactly like iPhone minus phone functon

My work phone is on verizon. Thats it. Just not practical for me to purchase a phone that I'll have to pay for when I get everthing I need for free now. If my company used AT&T I'd surely shell out the dosh for the cost of the phone. And at this point I don't see any reason to have two phones, but I will have an iPhone eventually.
