How do you sync Entourage?

Has anyone got this to work? I can't figure it out.

I don't have an iPhone myself, sorry.

I'm just here to hopefully provide answers to basic questions.

Okay, I figured this out. You have to enable settings in the preferences for Entourage and Address Book. Would have been nice if the iPhone docs mentioned this rather than simply saying "it is possible."

Glad you figured it out.

And I'll agree, probably should've been mentioned in a little bit more detail in the manual. I mean, it's not like they are shipping the damn thing (inside iPhone box)

I just figured this out as well. But...

1) What settings did you used in Entourage? Override Address Book, Sync with Address Book...?

2) What setting do you have to enable in Address Book? I just enabled the Sync setting in Entourage only and it seemed to work (Entourage moved data to Address Book and it then moved onto my iPhone).

3) Will an event entered into the calendar on iPhone make it all the way back to Entourage (iPhone to Address Book to Entourage)?

This is enough to make me switch from Entourage to the Apple Aps.

This is What Worked for Me

1. Open Entourage;
2. Open Preferences;
3. Go to Sync Services and check contacts and events;
4. Connect you iPhone and do a sync.

Using Entourage X

Those options for syncing with address book are not available in the "X" version of Entourage. I know it's an "end of life" program but I really don't feel like upgrading to 2004. Anyone know how I could go about syncing address book with the "X" version?

I know it sucks to be told "there's no way to do it without upgrading..." but I haven't found a way to sync entourage without upgrading to 2004. And even then, it syncs just my calendar and contacts -- not my old email. Perhaps that is a blessing in disguise since I have hundreds of old emails, but still.

Good luck!

Open entourage, go to "preferences", then under "general preferences" you should see "sync services". Again it's only in entourage 2004, not X.

I'm with you all the way until "sync services" I have under General Preferences: General, Address Book, Calendar, Fonts, Spelling, Notifications and Security - nothing about sync anywhere that I can find... any thoughts as to how I can get my missing sync option to come home????
