How to reset iPhone?

Eek my beautiful phone is frozen. No response from the screen! It was frozen at 10:54 as evident by the time on the clock not moving.

Plugging it to itunes does not work, itunes is not recognizing it.Sleep/wake button doesnt work either.

If I remember correctly from the vids, hold the home button and the 'on' button at the top of the phone for like 8 seconds. I think that will do it.

Let me know.

Sorry but that does not address my issue. I dont need to reset the settings, I need to reset/reboot the entire phone. Touching any of the buttons on the screen renders no response.

My bad, I automatically think of this when I hear reset.

Too much iPhone for me to handle
