How long do you guys think it'll be before Bose or someone bring out some iPhone-specific in-ear headphones (hopefully the type that you seal right in your ear canal so you get much better bass and audio quality), with a mic built in, and the correctly shaped plug to fit into the iPhone.

Hopefully soon...I have some good earphones at the moment, and I dare say they'll fit in with some modification of the plug (or one of those adaptors!), but they're of course missing a mic.

I've been using the Apple In Ear Headphones for about a year now. I'm no audiophile, but these sound much better than you'd expect. And audio experts seem to concur:

One note: these are designed to be very faithful to the recording. In other words, they will sound very close to what the recording engineer intended. If you love a bass-heavy sound like many people, these may not be for you.

And you get an excellent quality mic and controls. Plus great design and Apple service of course.
