Just make sure to take it off before resting your wrists on your titanium Powerbook.

expensive, and not very attractive. I like fossil's BLUE line a lot more, plus they are less expensive

Ah thank you.

Yeah my mom had a nice fossil, 3 sec under water and it was gone, the face (of the watch, inside it) was under water.

I have that watch. It is really nice I haven't had any trouble with it. The only difference is that I bought it Refurbished from a Fossil Outlet Store for $40.

I have a Tissot. ---> Its nice, the face is a beautiful blue. And the best thing is that I saw tiny Swiss elves make it by hand. Actually, one of them stopped working, and so I kicked him in the face and he worked even harder.

You're lucky you got your watch in Indonesia. Lazy Swiss workers have to be taught a lesson sometimes. Also, children have smaller hands and better eyes, and so they can prodd around inside the watch much easier.

I'm joking, of course

Don't fossil watches have an 11 year warranty?

Anyhow,

I got a fossil blue degrade dial and I am wondering if anyone knows how to make the metal band a little smaller without having having to take it to the place where it was bought.

Thanks.

u got to take it in, theirs like a screw that holds it together.

I need a new watch but don't want to spend a lot. (I really want a tag heur but over 1,000 is a bit much) Any ideas on brands besides fossil.

Your link didn't work, but I bought this Fossil Blue watch http://watchoutlet.com/ViewDetail/In...tch_AM3541.htm for 79.99 like 3-4 years ago and it still works great. It was my first moderately expensive watch (yes to me 79.99 is expensive) before that I was a Timex Digital person. I've replaced the battery once, but thats about it. The face is a little scratched, but I've banged it into a few things since I've had it. Nice to know it has an 11 year warranty. Of course I don't have the receipt anymore. And to the person who asked there is a really, really really small screw that holds the links on. I would have believed it untill I watched the Jewler take it apart with a screw driver. So My vote is for Fossil they seem to make nice watches.

Is it completely tasteless if I laughed at my own post!?!? C'mon, it was from 3 years ago, and I found it gosh-darned, ass-slapping funny.

I'm always happy to entertain da ladiez.......and myself. And I still have that Tissot. I got that thing in Venice while backpacking alone, so it has a lot of sentimental value.

Nice watch. I like how it's waterproof to 200 metres. I now have 3 watches that can go to that depth, and yet the furthest I've ever "delved" (correct word usage?) is around 30 m. Maybe cheaper watches would do the trick?

Oh, and

I have a fairly basic Fossil "Steel" blue dial that's about 5-6 years old now. Gone through a couple of batteries, otherwise no complaints. Looks somewhat slimmer than the current "chunky" metal watches they seem to have.

I too would love a Tag-Heuer, but I'm really not a bling kinda guy.

I need to check out Fossil's Starck-designed watches and see if they look any good in person. I like fun, completely non-traditional watches for a change of pace (such as the old Spoon watches from Seiko/Pulsar), and this one looks pretty out there:
