And it's NOT that the default answering mode on the iPhone is the iPhone itself rather than the Bluetooth device, and that you then have to scramble to change devices for the incoming call to go through on to the Bluetooth device...

It's really simple:

When the phone rings with the incoming call:

- If you want to answer the call on the iPhone itself - use the iPhone itself to answer the call.

- If you want to answer the call on the Bluetooth device itself - use the Bluetooth device itself to answer the call, (answer the call by touching the button on the Bluetooth device - don't even touch the iPhone).

This way, even if you have your Bluetooth device on – you have the CHOICE to answer the incoming call EITHER with your iPhone OR your Bluetooth device.

Good Luck!

In my case, I like to drive to work on my motorcycle, it is realy hard to "press" the BT button using a helmet, with leather gloves, at 50 mph on a rainy day........

Now, is not impossible to do, I have to do it every time, but, lets change the scenario, what if I want to call someone while I driven... using the same BT Jabra with my very old motorola V3, if I press the BT button twice, I can say the name of the person and make the call, or if I press the button 3 times, the cell phone will redial the last call made.

I don't think I'm the only person on the planet who ride a bike and has the same complain......

I hope sooner or later we can have this solve (I'm seriously thinking on buy a cheap Nokia or whatever cell phone with that old and simple feature)

Regards

ignorance

you are all really ignorant people Im a surgeon and we dont need to be in complete silence to operate on someone. I have been practicing surgery for 10 years now and many times we need to talk on the phone and does not mean we are not concentrated on what we are doing for us it is our job and we have to do more than one thing at once, obviously there are moments in a surgery we do not talk because of the complexity of the procedure but most of the times the procedure is routine for us, and because you are so ignorant you think so many stupid things and had misconceptions about our work.

iPhone feature.

I too am in the same boat as you, in that I would like my iPhone to "Auto Answer" through my Parrot GPS, & come through my 11 speaker system, thus using the "Hands Free" capability, when driving. My Nokia 6500 Slide did this perfectly & could even be made to come through my TOM TOM GO 730, except the volume was not loud enough. I am now going to do another search on the web & see if I can get some useful suggestions, rather than some stupid comments, that I have noticed. The reason I registered here is to get some good self experience informative suggestions from others, & not rude comments. Cheers, fingers crossed.

Auto Answer

This feature would be very nice while riding a motorcycle. I had it on a motorola bar phone about 10 years ago. Plugged into my autocomm unit on the bike. Call would come in, and I could converse via the helmet microphone and speakers. In this one area, we seem to have gone backward instead of forward with the available technology. Also, although there are video's and information for a supposed app called "Auto Answer" on the internet, the app store is unaware of such a critter.
