hi,

My macbook recently cannot recognize its bluetooth device.
On the toolbar, it shows bluetooth as "not available", and in device manager, it says "no information".

Rebooted many times, still not getting better... even in Boot Camp XP, the bluetooth is gone.

Is it a common software problem or hardware fault?
Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks in advance.

Nick

Delete /library/preferences/com.apple.Bluetooth.plist
Shutdown
Unplug everything including power
Take out battery
Leave for a few minutes
Reboot with nothing plugged in.

this worked only for like 5 mins, and then the problem came back..:(

any idea?

Anyone figure out this problem? I tried to use my BT on my MacBook last night. It worked for awhile then went "unavailable". I did some research and found that it was a known issue with 10.4.10, so this morning I did an archive/install back to 10.4.6 -- same thing. Tried SMC reset with no luck. Will try the plist delete to see what happens.
