I have a movie that spans two DVDs. I've already ripped them and converted them to mp4s with the MactheRipper-HandBrake combo. But I now have two mp4 files for one movie. I'd like to stitch them together to make one mp4 file.

I am aware that iMovie can do this, but I don't think iMovie keeps the aspect ratio?

I heard QuickTime Pro can do this as well (and keep the aspect ratio), but I don't want to pony up for it.

VisualHub will do it but they would have to be ripped at a constant bitrate, not "standard quality" "high quality" etc

VisualHub isn't free, though... and it seems to compress the already-compress files further before stitching them together? (That's how it seems to me in the "2-minute conversion demo")

Imovie will do it for you...I did that with Blind Date, I got from a website, in 4 sections, put it together in Imovie..worked perfectly

Deauthorize

I have tried both deauthorize and authorize. Its still dosent work. I did get 1 song but it replaces one that I purchase what it does it replace the Song thru aphabetical order, the one that i purchase work but like i said it replaces the ringtones when you try syncing it. I currently have 3 ringtones that I purchase and when try to sync my custom ringtones with it just replace it if its a higher order of the aphabetical title of the ringtone. Thanks for the suggestion. I might reiinstall my iTunes to version 9.0.2 see if that works. I think apple really restricts the syncing capability for iphones.

MPeg streamclip

this program thank you for the idea. is truly amazing as it is lightning fast and will stitch videos together as well as convert to most all formats. just a awesome application for us vintage mac people.:)

and to make it stitch vids together you simply drag and drop them all in and export it. it merges them with no warning.

Back in the day when is ripping DVD's with MTR, and then burning DVD's. I would use a program called DVD2OneX. This program did a great job of combining Video TS files.
