Editing File Info

How does one edit file info? The date created specifically. I have some pictures that were taken on a digicam that hadn't had the date set properly so I have pics in IPhoto that are listed under 2025 and it's irritating me.
 
This works well for file creation/modification dates: Miana

But, I agree with swiftaw - you probably want to modify EXIF data, not the file data.
