Unhappy Windows File Sharing

Hi people,

Okay got a little problem with Windows File Sharing in Mac OS 10.2.6.

I enable it and even lock the Services tab but if I shut my computer down or send it to sleep it loses the tick in the Windows File Sharing option!

I go back into System Preferences and enable it again but still it will lose the tick in the box!

It has only just been doing this and I don't understand why as I haven't installed any additional software.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Yeah I have full administrator rights to the local machine. I have even logged on as root and amended the settings but it always flicks back.

I'd repair the permissions on the hard disk.

Is it just me, or is a permissions repair to OS X what a clean re-install was to System 7 through OS 9.2?
