My first car was a 1996 Chevrolet Corsica. I hated that car. I felt it was an "old person" car.
Now I drive a Civic Sedan.
Behold...the Corsica!!! (Not mine...just a stock shot...)
I bought a used 1985 Mitsubishi "Mighty Max" Sport Pickup, 4x2, with 50,000 when I was 15.
Since then I've tried to buy and sell a few cars per year. have made profit on all but 1. here's the progression over the last 10 yrs.
1. 1985 Mitsubishi pickup
2. 1991 Honda Accord
3. 1990 Nissan Pathfinder
4. 1992 Honda Accord
5. 1987 Honda Civic
currently have
6. 1990 Toyota Pickup (for sale)
7. 1976 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40
8. 1997 Toyota 4Runner (for sale)
9. 1990 Lincoln Town Car (for sale)

When I get my first car I want a used civic, they're so reliable (and cheep)
very true. i had always wanted a civic, and now that i finally have one, i've never been happier. reliable, great mileage, fun, safe, and they go forever! i think a used civic would be a great first car...and you can count on keeping it for a long time!
"White Gold" 1998 Land Rover Discovery LSE Edition named "Nigel" with 88,000 miles on it originally. I've had it since March I think and I love it.
