Sweet ass. Why does the article only talk about Macs getting the extra RAM capacity? Won't this affect PC users as well?

More RAM = Faster emailing!!!

Because PC-users have had this option for a long time!

Wow - 2GB should be enough for most people.

huh, ram is ram. plus this isnt the first 1gb chip, another german company has had one for about 6 months now. and they also dont specify that these chips can work in the 12 inch powerbook, and the 17 inch imac. this nothing totally special, since they arent the first ones to do it.

I'm more interested in the performance boost provided by the 7200rpm 2.5" laptop drive also mentioned in the article.

Uh, how do you figure? This is about Laptops. This option has been available for a brief time on both sides, but it's still kind-of expensive. Transintl has some for about $700. Compatible with the 17" P'Book. They have the 7200 RPM 2.5" drives, too.

DSP-Memory 1GB for PB12/17

Here you can check the module, offered for quite some time.

http://www.dsp-memory.de/v1/catalog/...hp?cPath=1_18&

Actually it is EURO 599, but you get a refund on our sales tax, I think, which is 16% right now. Much cheaper than TransInt.
