Is it possible to use an iSight as an audio input device in OS 9? I tried but the Sound control panel didn't recognize the iSight. Is there a driver I can install to make it work? Thanks.

I doub't you can use the iSight in OS9 in anything but video capture software, such as iMovie. iSight output is already digital and coming in through the firewire port. I don't know of any firewire audio devices.
You might be able to trawl for some freeware/shareware video capture widget at CNET or MacNET.
