New iMacs Released
![]() As rumored, Apple has announced new iMacs at its press event today. The iMacs start at $1199 and come in 20 and 24" form factors, as rumored, and will feature a more professional look. Features: -Up to 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo Extreme Processor -Up to 4 GB Memory -ATI Radeon HD Graphics -Up to 1 TB Hard Disk -Wireless 802.11n and Bluetooth 2.0 Also, Apple indicated that the keyboard that was previously leaked is indeed the new keyboard for the iMac. $1199, $1499, and $1799 are the announced priced points, but with configuration options there may be other choices of processor speed for each screen size, so we'll really have more available combinations.

The chin is aluminium.
And that first pic was a dell, not the iMac. This announcement has already convinced me to sell my iMac I have now, and get one of these puppies as soon as I know how much they're gona sell for in the UK!

It's fantastic!
The current is already stunning, and the only way to make it better is to make it thinner. And boy is it thin. And I've always like the chin - you want to feel like you're looking at a Apple, not a PC monitor. |

That's exactly how I feel about the chin too. it sets it apart, and not a bad way.

Mmm Cool, I like it but I don't think it's crazy cool, just a slimmer version. Maybe I need to see some more stuff...

What is the difference?
really, aside from the screen size, what is the difference between the new mac and a mbp?
both are super thin, both have super thin keyboards, both have strong specs.......so you're telling me the only difference is if you either want: 1. portability, or 2. large screen ?? |

That keyboard, whilst OKish for laptops, sucks for desktop.
Personally, I can't stand the MacBook keyboard, and that new iMac keyboard, obviously takes after the MacBook. Whats with the giant spacing between each key anyway?
