I got a benchmark of 44 when using 6r79, I'll edit this post with version 7 results.

edit: 60. Not bad, not bad at all. Macromedia claim a 15%-70% increase depending on the SWF file. They also said speed was of upmost importance in this release. Hopefully it will only get better!

You made me check again....😱

Okay then test 2...,

I consistantly get 97-98 in Safari, and peaked at 99 when I restared my machine without my second monitor attached, and disabled Suitcase to open at startup....

IE doesn't get near... heh-heh!

As for the Dual 1.25, it whoops my a$$ when it comes to realtime work.... I don't really read into the above performance figures, there are many factors at work which can affect this performance...

I want to see what the G5's knock out 😀

It also might be party the video card and bus involved here. Regardless, its high enough for me that it works. 😀

That's the only explanation I can think off...

or it could be that my TiBook only has a 15" screen, so I use less graphics power on the screen... and more towards processing...??

or could it be that I only did a complete erase and re-install a week ago, so I've got less background sh*t slowing me down??

could be many other things as well....

if you put that Dual 1.25 next to mine, and render a 80 layer AE comp, mine wouldn't get anywhere near it... 😉

On my PC with alot of programs running I got 131 still using FlashPlayer 6.
I guess internet will never be the same on a Mac as it is on a PC.

amd 1800+
GeForce 3 Ti 64

Remember guys this is a beta, hopefully things will improve even more by final.

Do the test 5 times and take the average of the last 3 results. Also don't have any other apps running and don't obscure the window while the test is running, that's the only way to get a fair test.

See how I've sucked all the fun out of this thread 😀
