How about: IBM buys AMD, trades stock value from the new sub-company to Motorola in exchange for Altivec Die rights. Apple gets as many G5's as they can use and a few more for dip.😀

They didn't buy ATI, they bought AMD(the Intel competitor if you didn't know)
I wonder what will happen to the XBOX. I hope that they do carry out the plan to ressurect the DreamCast. The BeOs thing is also really weird.
