No new apps, just bug fixes. There's nothing really wrong with my iPhone so I can't tell if there anything this update improves.

Well at least we know Apple is still alive (knock on wood) and updating the Iphone!! I don't think we will see any major update until Leopard but I hope I am wrong!

Anyone know what it does to the hacked Iphone?

I love my iPhone, but the one glaring problem for me is lack of flash support. They need to get that in there soon.

Update failed. Now I have to restore and update. My fault due to the ringtones and hacks and stuff. Any other modders have a problem?

To me it sounds like it is coming, since Adobe is updating there flash to support H.264 and we know the Iphone supports that cause that is how we can watch YouTube. Just a matter of time! Just hopefully not too much time!

Installing now...all I really want is a Chapter Selection Pulldown Menu added to the movies...like in iTunes and Quicktime, ridiculous this is not the case already.

As for Bugs, there are MANY when listening to Music and then trying to surf the web...the music crashes...then you try to relisten to what you had, and then safari crashes...etc.

If I added ringtones to my phone (1.0.1), I'll have to do a system restore correct? When I do that, can I restore from the backed up image or do I have to basically clean out my phone, update to 1.0.2, and manually sync everything over again? (thus, losing my recent call lists, etc.)

Does iFuntastic work in 1.0.2? Anyone tried?

I bet 1.0.2 breaks the sim card everyone ran out to buy that unlocks the phone.

Yeah I think it will do more harm than good in the hack area, thats why I am glad AT&t is great service where I live, I have no need to unlock it and will wait along time before I try to brick it, or I mean hack it.

Updated without any problems. I did not mod my phone.

Does anybody know if Apple documents their changes? I can not find a list of changes for 1.0.2 (or 1.0.1 for that matter). The screen said Bug Fixes but no details.

Maybe not in this update, but...

... I hope the external speaker volume can be increased. (ie it is not hardware-limited)

The speakerphone is lousy and the ringer needs to be 2x as loud in some circumstances. Otherwise I'm totally happy with the thing.

Same here. The ring volume is my one and only complaint so far.
