printing in black and white

i know its got to be something easy, but for the life of me i cannot find out how to take my printer off of color and print in black and white/grayscale.. thanks

Go to print and from the "Copies and Pages" drop-down select "Color Sync"




Then by Quartz Filter> Gray Tone (or Black and White).

black and white as an option? default?

How can I make this option more of a "one click" option rather than multiple dropdown menus?

Also, is there a way to make this the default?
