Powermac G5 dual 2.0

hey guys i was wondering what would be better for video editing, a dual 2.0 powermac g5 w/ 9600pro and 4gb ram or a 20" 2.4 imac w/ 4gb ram (of course 3rd party). Id be using Final Cut studio... thanks guys.

same here i just wasnt sure if the powermac would be faster somehow? think i might go with the imac.

hearing that from a mac pro guy makes me feel better about the decision. mac pro...(sigh) if only. haha

i have been using a dual 2.0 w/3gb ram for HDV editing in FCS, and
despite the slower export times, it has been a great machine. Solid.
It's days are numbered though, as I am expecting a Mac Pro anyday.
