Leopard + New Hard Drive....Suggestions

First, I have a G5 1.6 with the standard hard drive of 74gb. I want to replace this drive with a new one and start Leopard with a fresh install. I'd like a new hard drive between 300 and 500 gb and price range of $100 or so. Here's one that I'm looking at. I'd appreciate any comments or suggestions. Thanks in advance.

We can argue which brand of HD is best. I just look at the warranty and only buy the brands that have the five year warranty. The warranty period speaks louder than 100 people on these forums all saying they like brand X or Y.
I just bought a 5 year 500gb drive at fry's for $110.

Remember that with Tinme machine yu will need a much larger drive to back up your data. I'm guess a minimum of 1.5 times the size of the data drive(s) with 2X preferred

Generally the 400GB hard drives are pretty slow, if you want one with higher read/write speeds I would look at 320 or 500GB Hard Drives.

The Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 series hard drives are very fast, though they are a little pricey.

After extensive research I went with this one.

It has low surface temperatures compared to my old Western Digital, runs at high read/write speeds, has a 16mb cache and is whisper quite.

If you want more storage I would choose this one.

Like the 320GB I chose this boasts all of the benefits I listed above. Though the Seagate 7200.10 is faster it is only by a few Megabytes per second. I consider the Hitachi to have a better price to performance ratio.

The Hitachi's are interesting. Did you have any problem setting them up? Or were they pretty much plug them in? Cheers
