I have a feeling that after the iPhone's contract with AT&T ends, WiMax will be wide spread and Apple will lose the iPhone and rebrand the iPod as the iPod communicator or something along those lines. Think about it:
WIth WiMax and a Skype like service, you don't need a carrier and you can lose the clunky, battery draining GSM radio.
