"Skip Count" and "Last Skipped" not working on iPhone?

While "Play Count" seem to update when the iPhone is synced, "Skip Count" and "Last Skipped" does not. I find this annoying, since a lot of my smart playlists depend on these (if I've recently skipped a song, I probably don't want it popping up again soon in the random rotation).

Can anyone confirm this and/or offer a solution?

Note, by "skipping" I am pressing the double-arrow, "next song" button. I am not pausing and then skipping nor am I using the menu to select another song. I am also waiting a few seconds into the song before skipping.
