well im patiently waiting for my first Mac to show up a 1.6 G5

it will only have 256mb ram

i will have about 450 bucks (Canadian) for upgrades

i will definately buy some RAM..upgrade it to 1250mb.

but im not sure if i should buy even more ram. or get a wd Raptor Hard drive or something else..
any suggestions

Their hard drive is fine for now, it seems adequate.

Ram Definattly, but Remember they have to be put in, in pairs!

If you don't do that... I forget, does the computer not work or something, anyway... Ram is a must, even 512 would be small for a 1.6 single proc.

Adding ran will help a bunch.

I actually already run a Powermate on my pc that i will transfer to the g5 once it arrives

Well if you already have a Powermate you can't go wrong with more ram. A hard drive can be added later when you need more space and they'll be cheaper then.
