iPod Touch + Radio Remote

I was just looking around the Apple store and I was looking at the Apple Radio Remote and it said that it was compatible with the iPod touch? Would that be just the remote part or the radio too. I am unsure because, as far as I am aware the Remote does not work with the iPhone. I wonder if this is true, or just a typo.

I am thinking of changing my video iPod for an iPod touch and I love the remote (I don't think I have ever used the radio!) so it would be great if they worked together. It would be so annoying if I have to take the iPod out of its case everytime I wanted to change track / volume.

OK, seeing as no-one has replied:

On the Apple Uk store it STILL (over a week since the iPod touch was launched) that the remote works with the iPod touch.

Now on the iLounge review, section 5, it says that the remote does NOT work, again

Is it me or has there been a lot of typos on the Apple website regarding the new iPods? Someone really needs a good kick up the backside.

As for the remote + radio I hope they get it working with the iPod touch soon, it is a great little device and could potentially protect the devices from scratches as there is no need to keep removing from your pocket to change track / volume.

I'd love for that Radio Remote to work with the iPod touch, it'd be a cool accessory to have.

I ordered one last week.

Apparently there are some others on eBay with a Shuffle-type control pad, but I haven't seen that yet.

I imagine it will eventually work or perhaps they will take out a new compatible model.

I went to the Apple Store, and asked the guy if they have tried, and he said no, I haven't but I can open a box and tried it as I am not sure and I will get a lot of questions like this one.

So he did, and as soon as you plug the Radio-remote a message on the iPod Touch show up telling some thing like "This accessory is incompatible, please remove".

Mean while, if all you want is the remote function, as the other poster said, you have many of them in eBay for a few $.

I use it wit my universal dock (I had it for the iPod Video) and the remote and works great.

I had an Apple Radio Remote that worked with my 2G Nano, but I tried it with my Touch and it said 'Not compatible', so no, it does NOT work with the iPod Touch.
So........
I sold it on eBay = ).
