iTMS rentals coming soon?

This has apparently shown up in the most recent iTunes release. Looks like rentals are just around the corner.

No problem.

BTW -- your home theater setup is awesome! Just out of curiosity, don't you find the Mini and the AppleTV a little redundant? I was thinking of getting a Mini for the living room... but have held off since I'm waiting to see where Apple really goes with the aTV.

Thanks very much! I'm still tinkering with it to get it optimized, but it's close to as perfect as it can be.

We have two types of users in the house; "just make it work" (wife and kids) and "nerd" (yours truly). The advantage of the ATV is that it works with just the TV remote (to turn it on, to set it to component video input, and control the volume) and the ATV remote (to navigate). My 6 year-old already knows how to run the thing (and Apple REALLY needs to improve parental control for the ATV). This is the one where you come in, turn it on, and watch (32" SDTV). It's also connected to an older Dolby Pro Logic II-only receiver.

The Mini is really my operation. Ten foot-wide screen, Onkyo 5.1 digital optical receiver (DD, DTS, Neo, etc.), but the projector makes things a little more challenging. Thus, I'm pretty much the only one who operates it. Plus, it has an Elgato EyeTV Hybrid, so it's our only HDTV receiver (and recorder). This setup requires darkness, but it really kicks @$$! They Hybrid is nice - it's an HDTV recorder and automatically transcodes to MPEG4 and adds the shows to the Mini's iTunes database, and thus each recorded program shows up on our ATV upstairs. Very convenient.

A little redundant, but each system excels in its own little way.
