I don't know what to do (display burn?)
So I left my work computer on over the weekend, and there was a webpage loaded. No biggie, right? Well, when I closed the page, I can STILL see the page slightly "burned" into everything. Um ... well, this is wonderful! I'm working with the 23" mac HD display. Am I just outta luck, or is there anything I can do about this?

LCDs shouldn't get permanent burn in so run a movie or something on the screen and it should all clear up.

Apple's suggestion:
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=88343 Basically says to make the screen completely white and leave it on for a while to "erase" the burn. I've seen this with a very old Apple 17" LCD (one of the old ACDs), but I'm a bit surprised it's happening on a newer one (unless you have one of the older transparent 23" ones, in which case I'm not surprised at all). |
