Help : how to create mirrored boot volume on OS X Server
Hi everyone,
I'm tasked with setting up a new Mac OS X server and it's equiped with 3 drives and no RAID controller. Is it still possible to setup the boot volume in a mirror config ? I've googled but no joy ... System is now installed on 1 disk, when I use disk utility I can setup the other 2 disks in a mirror but not the boot volume. When starting the RAID setup utility it tells me I need to install a RAID card first.... Any help is appreciated. Axewater |

I've never used or configured Mac OS X server, so this is a total shot in the dark, but...
You normally need to create RAID volumes of any type before installing anything. Is there no way in disk utility (when booting from the CD, as if to do an install) to create your mirrored RAID array, then install the OS on to it?
