Hello,

I'm trying to get photos to an editor for a wedding we did, and really have no idea what settings to use.

I know he is using FCP-studio, and it was shot SD-MiniDV...I know he wants to use it for a mini-slideshow and a DVD menu.

what should I give him? image size, color space (sRGB?) , dpi, file type (jpg?)?

Thanks!

Color is definitely going to be RGB, as thats what TVs use.

Doesnt matter what file type, just the resolution.

And since TV is going to use the 72ppi rule of thumb, anything higher is pointless and would only be enlarged within FCP.

If the image is larger than the screen size, 720x480, you can zoom into it without losing quality.

If the image is smaller, you cant enlarge it without losing quality.

Always go for bigger and let the editor crop, shrink, etc.
