HI,
My iMac is losing the concept of time, and not running programs properly, I spoke to the guy I hired the imac from he said to get Norton utilities.
The Norton program says I need to boot from the CD - BUT it's not working - even when I press 'C' or option, command, delete.
How so I boot from the Norton CD?

if your time and date are resetting, even after you've just set them, you may have a bad battery. #1 symptom. Check that out, batteries are $15

Norton won't save your date & time so nevermind that. If you've already bought it, it should be able to run on any of the old colored imacs (i think newer flat-panel imacs will not boot off a norton cd, because they do not boot os 9!).

If your CD is in the tray, and you restart the computer, and hold down the "C" key, you should be able to boot into norton, otherwise you may have another problem.
