Wireless Scheduled BackUP

Hello guys a friend of mine and I are trying to make a little setup where we can automatically back some PBs over Airport to a PM G4.

Here is what we want to do: As soon as the PBs connect to the network where the PM is we would like to mount the second hard drive of the PM automatically and then use some sort of back up utility to back up the user folder to the PM hard drive. We would like the utility to be able to tell if it has done a back up in the previous 12 hours and not perform one if it has. Is that possible and if yes could someone help with a step by step guide? Thanks a lot...
