Does the prepaid activation trick of entering the "9's" as your SSN still work to have a prepaid iphone?
has anyone done it more recently, like within the last few days?
I have and it works just fine. A bit scary clicking "Agree" through those two-year agreements, but in the end it showed me the Pick-a-Plan option link and everything was fine.

Do you still have to pay the activation fee with the prepaid account? Does anyone know what the total monthly cost (tax, fees, etc) is for the cheapest go phone plan?
how about you just call at&t and ask them, or just do it yourself

I've got the lowest prepaid calling plan $49 (including unlimited data) + $4.99 SMS plan and my grand total is $60 (and some change).
Have you noticed any weird charges using pre paid service or any limitations to data that are unforseen? I am about to go prepaid and need to know if there are any surprises.
How long have you been prepaid?
So you can but a pre-paid plan, legit with the iPhone through AT&T, or are these hacked phones?
