Any iPod touch sightings in Germany?

If it's like the UK launch then they'll start shipping them after the german launch of the iphone. There's a news conference today that may well do it.

i called up every large apple partner store (we don't have official apple stores in germany) and none of them had the touch in stock. they didn't even know when they will receive them (man, they are pissed at apple).

i then called up the german apple online store (put in an order 3 days ago) and they told me not to expect shipping to germany before sept. 28th.

They said that in all the UK stores 2 days ago as well.

It'll ship when it ships.. the stores won't tell anyone beforehand, even if they know.

There's nothing in the retail shops.
And it doesn't seem my online order is gonna ship before 28th.

I just was at the Apple store inside the Saturn in Hamburg. They didn't had any clues. They said to me "The Apple boss said they are delayed, maybe end of next week". They only had the new shuffles.

Today my order status has changed.
Actual status: versandbereit

The guy i ordered mine from said that Apple didn't really tell them when they're going to get them but they're probably going to get some in 2-3 days. If not I'm going to get mine on September 28th. I even got 20€ off because I first was told that I'm going to get it earlier.

Have your's shipped?

My status still hasn't changed. I called Apple today. They said irrespective of what the shipping status is, touches for Germany won't start shipping until the 28th.

the order shifted from october 1./2. delivery to october 3./4. a few days ago.

I thought about doing the same. My delivery date also got pushed back a couple of days. I enquired at Saturn and they said they'll have touches by next week. But then all of a sudden my shipping status changed. So I thought I'll stick with the online order because then the risk of getting a faulty device is lower than buying from the store.

My order status just changed to "versandbereit". Hopefully they ship them this week.

I somehow doubt that Media Markt or Saturn have them in stock by the end of this week because when I checked them last week for the other iPods they still had only the old ones.

don't know about online orders, but i stopped by my local media markt and they told me, that the touch will arrive early/mid next week in stores.
i had them reserve one for me

I was pissed that they didn't keep the Sep 28 deadline. The whole world had their's shipped, but not us.
Anyway they shipped it at least now.

Could anybody track it on the TNT website?
And how do we find the week #?

To find out the week # you have to have the serial number which you can find on your invoice. Usually the invoice should come via email in a few days.
