Can anybody comment on the performance of the latest gigabit Airport Extreme base station for fast network copying via wired cat 6 cable? I'm wondering if I should just purchase a standalone gigabit switch instead which supports jumbo frames. I'm planning on doing daily backups (around 40-60gb a day) to a networked powerbook with firewire attached storage not using the slow USB port on the AEBS. Any recommendations for an affordable 4-8port gigabit switch would be appreciated as well.
