iPod touch When do Best Buys' usually get their stock and...

When do Best Buys' usually get their stock and, obviously you dont know but, if they got them in today and I went up their tomorrow, do you think they might have any based on how well they are selling?

lol (i forgot to mention what, ipod touchs' of course)
 
I went to our local store and asked them when they would be getting them. The sales man said he thought they were coming in via ups and they could come at any time. Don't know if that is true but that is what they told me. Not much help sorry, I want one really bad too..

Just to add on to your first question, does anyone know how often the online store checker gets updated? As in, when they get a new shipment in a store, how long until the the website is updated and showing that they have the item 'In Stock'?
 
The ones by me in the Chicago area get much of their electronics stuff Thursdays at about 3:00pm for the weekend. That's how I was able to get my hands on an XB360 early on.
 
Well if it's like Apple's iPhone availability checker for Apple Stores, then it only gets updated once a day each night.

it updates nearly immediately...it pulls info from the main stock system in realtime.

if anyone wants to tell me what store# you want to know how many they are getting within a week...let me know. i can't say exact days as the drop shipments are by UPS and they are pretty random, but it's usually within a week of it shows up as "on order" in the system

When I called the Apple Store in Towson, MD yesterday they had a few 8GB in stock. Maybe give them a call and see if they have any left.

I think Apple stores are getting them in almost every day. The Bethesda Row Apple store said they have no idea what's on the daily shipment until it comes in the door.

Towson's a bit far which is why I'm looking at Rockville, MD etc. I'm in Silver Spring, by the way. Thanks! I might give them a call and make the trek up there!

i'll try to head down to work tonight and grab some numbers for everyone

my gf is moving into town tonight, so i'll try to head there.

it's not an issue for me to retreive data from ANY store.

i wrote down all the store#s so far, i'm in class right now but after that and after helping my gf move here i'll head out to my store.
