My name is Dan Lovy and I'm President of Gloolabs. Back in January, we announced at MacWorld that our GLOO technology would be built into a device called the HomePod . The HomePod is a networked audio player that will be produced and marketed by Macsense (www.macsense.com)

GlooLabs has decided to experiment with giving developers the ability to modify the firmware on a consumer device, the Homepod. I don't think many have done this before. We believe that tapping into the creativity of the developer community is going to be the way to produce killer consumer products. This is a bold move for us and I'm interested in seeing how this is received by the developer community.

To support this effort, MacSense has agreed to manufacture a limited number HomePods specially designed for developers. Go to http://store.yahoo.com/gloolabs/homepod.html to check out its features and, hopefully get developing on a HomePod.

I'll be checking this forum regularly and can answer any questions either directly or on this board.
