Steve should have stayed a bit longer in Europe to attend this event unannounced. What a nice surprise that would have been for attendees.

So, I guess Apple not being at the Apple Expo this week means that they really won't give us a Mac Pro mini. (For now.) Bummer...

It shouldn't even be called an "Apple Expo" over there.

It's a real shame to see what has happened to some of the old Expo events. Both Paris and New York used to really be things we could speculate about and look forward to. Now one is gone and the other all but, leaving just MWSF on the calendar for major showboat announcements. Which of course starts at 6pm UK time whilst most here are commuting home.

Just another thing those of us who've always been with Apple have had to say goodbye to as they move into the mainstream.

In France, yes. In the UK, however, O2 is the provider. And in Germany it's yet another again: T-Mobile. For a slew of other contries (to be added in 2008, as rumoured) Vodafone might be the provider. That would be great, since Vodafone is by far the best provider around. Not the cheapest, but overall, it's definitely the best. (It might even be the biggest, globally. Is it, anyone?) Also, why aren't they operating in the US?

The saddest thing is, Microsoft has more to announce at an Apple event then Apple does

Well, really do not care if it is Paris, London, Berlin or St. Petersburg – but Apple's ignorance (yep - the word might be a little strong, but it's getting there) about it's European customers is getting to a point where it becomes annoying (and this is NOT any kind of an anti-US statement). Apple has much more growth potential in Europe and Asia than in the US and due to the decline of the USD it certainly makes good money overseas, as they sell the products for a lot more money here (much more than just adding VAT and shipping would justify - but others like Adobe are much worse). iPhone delay, iPod Touch availability, no movies and TV shows, absence of stores outside the UK, absence from Apple events... come on, just some glass pearls, like an Product RED iMac for Apple Expo Paris would have been appreciated.
