iPod touch WK 36's Still Shipping / Firmware Update Resolve Screen Problems?

I placed my order for an iPod Touch on Sept. 23 and it was shipped on Sept. 29. A check of the serial number reveals that it is a week 36. I am in Canada. Does anyone have a WK 36 with a screen that seems to be fixed by the new firmware update?
 
I've seen reports where people's week 36's have been fixed, i've seen posts where it didn't fix the problem on week 36.

You will just have to wait and open yours to see if
a. you have a problem,- not everyone has an issue
b. if you happen to have a bad screen see if the 1.1.1 firmware fixes yours.

if it doesn't, than work on getting an exchange.
