I am in the Pasadena Apple Store and was able to snap some photos of the G5 before they told me I couldn't take photos in the store. Here's the first:

The G5 looks much better in those pics than in their renderings...

I wonder why they dont let you take pics...

thanks for the pictures, the single g5 model sure looks like it has a Lot of wasted space.

ah how beautiful, exactly how my set up will look like. dont know when it will be though, i think since i told my mom i wanted a combo drive and bluetooth added they are gonna take forever on mine. although we started getting our 1.8's now if only my office was as neat looking.

If I actually want to a buy a comp in person at the apple store, I'm guessing they won't do any customization...?

i believe they can do custom stuff. the thing im not sure about is the built on bluetooth, i believe that has to be done at the factory.

It does look really nice in person. I went to the Apple store here in town and it is so gorgeous sitting next to a cinema display. It's very clean and eloquent and absolutely silent. If only I were in the market for a desktop, I'd love to have bought one, but I just cannot justify it since my dorm room is cramped enough with 3 roommates and all of our junk.

i didn't realise built-in bluetooth was an option. i just thought it was one of those little adaptor things. maybe i should get mine built like that too.

Yep, that's the setup I have on order. A G5 with a 20" display. That's going to look nice in my office. 😀

I'm getting all tingley.... I have to go now.

Apple logo on G5s

How is the Apple logo affixed to the side of the G5? Is it etched? Painted? A cheap plastic decal (just kidding)?
