Can i use my new AL 24" iMac like my ****** old windows desk ?
hey guys
got my AL 24" iMac like a week or two back .. all this while i had a windows desk running all my dl's and torrents bla bla 24/7 and i would work on my imac and mbp but now my windows desk has crahsed bigtime and im sick of getting it done all the time so can i use my imac 24/7 like i do with my windows pc ? cue dls and let it remain on for like hours/days ? without a ups ? if i can then how do i get this imac to remain connected and not log off from the net and keep my screen shut(sleep) ... cause either the screen remains on or the screen gets into screensaver mode or the mac sleeps which disconnects my dls msn etc   some help would be appreciated  cheers

System Preferences -> Energy Saver
Then choose your settings
